The so called product is called IPED and has been released in Shenzhen, China. The price you need to pay to grab it in your hand is only  and it’s only $100-150 ( Approx 4-5 times cheaper to the lowest model price of Apple’s IPAD). Its very cheap priced look alike ipad hardware.

Here are some basic key qualities reviewed up of the product.

• The device runs on Google’s Android 1.5 Open Source Operating system. Its codenamed as Cupcake
• The device supports maximum of 16GB space through micro sd slot as compared to Apple which supports 64GB Space.
• It works on 1 GB RAM whereas Apple runs on 256MB RAM.
• The weight is bit heavier compared to IPAD.
• The IPED runs over some mobile intel based  of 600-MHz RockChip processor.
• Screen is 7 inched with a resolution of only 800 by 480 pixels whereas compared to IPAD its 1024 by 768 pixels and screen of size 9.7 inch.
• No indication that clears IPED have networking supports other than WiFi–Wireless B and Wireless G support.

At last but not least, IPED is going to be a grabby product for the tech lovers who cant afford IPAD at the moment. Moreover IPED gives a complete feel of as if having IPAD in your hands although it has not used any applications of APPLE. Google’s Android has made it all possible. My goodness, its cheap but do comes packed with good features to have hands on.

Orphan Electronics, the iPed’s creator, may soon release more versions with various more features compared with Apples market strategies.

But folks do remember, APPLE IS APPLE. Nothing can beat them in their end product design and quality of product they inherit in them. Thats why we love their products although they lack basic features.

I just went to my network adapter settings and configured the network ips manually. See the screenshot below.

Hopely this trick will work for any broadband connection throughout world.

Just configure ips manually like shown above. Use public DNS of popular websites like Google, Yahoo, Bing or whatever whose downtime is very least and is on internet seamlessly.

To enable 3D desktop effects you require no basic knowledge of LINUX core. Just go through following steps

1.) Goto SYSYEM and then ADMINISTRATION

2. )In administration open SYNAPTIC PACKAGE MANAGER.

3. ) Type COMPIZ in the quick search Box.

4.) You will see the results loaded down.

5. Go through this image and be sure each button is ticked as shown in this 
screenshot.

Once you are over with ticking. Click APPLY.

Once you are over woth above steps and installation. You can now see the COMPIZ CONFIG MANAGER in SYSTEM-PREFERENCES menu bar.

After enabling the 3d desktop effect, you need to press CONTROL + ALT key, and roll over your mouse as if 3d desktop is in your hand. Make updward, downward and side movements with mouse and see the difference now..

These days I have switched my operating system to UBUNTU 10.04 from WINDOWS 7. I am loving the easy interactive features of Ubuntu. Before, whenever I switched to Linux platform, I reverted back to Windows OS due to its simplicity or whatever we can say as the habit to work with it.

The most difficulty one faces in using linux is installing applications and softwares. No doubt we are somewhat addicted of using Windows and it’s based applications and so we don’t want to get into unwanted hecks with Linux. But to be true its fun and really you get something different to feel within while using Linux based operating systems like ubuntu or fedora or others.

The easiest way to install applications, programs or softwares in Ubuntu can be done by following steps.

1. Goto SYSTEM

2. Goto SYSTEM- ADMINISTRATION

3. Open SYNAPTIC PACKAGE MANAGER.

4. The window will open and you can see Quick Search filling Box

5. Fill the box with application you want to download in Ubuntu.

6. You will get results below regarding your query with every detail on right hand side.

7. Mark the application you want to download from the search results.

Note :- a) The installed applications have green icon before them in “S” (Status) in SYNAPTIC PACKAGE MANAGER.

b) You can even refine your search from “ALL” menu in left hand side of screen.

Thats all you need to do. Now your downloading will start on its own and will even install package after it gets downloaded.

Another way to Install applications in Ubuntu: -

Open applications and then click over ” UBUNTU SOFTWARE CENTER”.

Search your software and you will get results beneath. Click over install and here you go.

So now coming to the basic mean to write this post blog. Somedays back, my friend sent me a link to scan the security of my facebook account. This link redirected me to a website namely http://www.reclaimprivacy.org/facebook.

You yourself can check the security of your facebook account and even can retain the secured privacy settings on your own if its changed by FACEBOOK without prior notice.

Get Protected:-

1. Goto :- http://www.reclaimprivacy.org/facebook

1. Drag the grey button to your browser bookmarks bar on the defined link.

2. Go to your Facebook privacy settings and then click that bookmark once you are on Facebook.

3. You will see a series of privacy scans that inspect your privacy settings and warn you about settings that might be unexpectedly public.

Finally you can secure those settings which were insecure for your account.

Basically it can be done by 3 following ways :-

1. Download universal tar.gz zipped file for linux environment and install it.

Open Synaptic (System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager). In Settings -> Repositories, make sure you have a “universe” repository activated.

Search for vlc and install it. You should also install vlc-plugin-pulse, mozilla-plugin-vlc.

If you are interrested in streaming or transcoding, you should also install libavcodec-extra-52 from a “multiverse” repository.

You need to check that a “universe” mirror is listed in your /etc/apt/sources.list.

% sudo apt-get update

We everyone or most of us must be having our social account on very known world’s number 1 social networking webiste i.e. FACEBOOK. It has evolved so way that now users are sick of using it badly or meanfully. I remember the news which was on top of tech channels that Facebook even challenged GOOGLE directly in means of most visited website in UNITED STATES OF AMERICA for an entire week at a stretch. No doubt, facebook’s growth is phenomenal.

Now the thing of what we should we worried for is security of our and our friends personal contents. However, the site has also lately being receiving lot of excessive criticism for its privacy policies. Joan Goodchild, senior editor of CSO (Chief Security Officer) Online, claims marketing efforts by the company often results in a compromise on account holders’ privacy, reports CBS News. This makes the scenario more clear.

Some of the risks explained by him are as following.

1. Your information is being shared with third parties.

According to Facebook policy as on April 2010, “When you connect with an application or website it will have access to General Information about you. The term General Information includes your and your friends’ names, profile pictures, gender, user IDs, connections, and any content shared using the Everyone privacy setting. … The default privacy setting for certain types of information you post on Facebook is set to “everyone.” … Because it takes two to connect, your privacy settings only control who can see the connection on your profile page. If you are uncomfortable with the connection being publicly available, you should consider removing (or not making) the connection.”

2. Privacy settings revert to a less safe default mode after each redesign.

In March, private e-mail according to a Gawker report, private email addresses that many Facebook users wanted to keep hidden were revealed publicly on a multitude of Facebook profiles. The glitch was later resolved by Facebook.

3. Facebook ads may contain malware.

Recently, a Facebook event invitation was reportedly sent to some over 2,300 friends of Jim Breyer, Accel Partners venture capitalist who sits on Facebook’s board of directors, asking “Would you like a Facebook phone number?” However, the message was actually a scam and the users who entered their passwords in response to the message in turn sent the whole thing to their friends lists too.

“This was a phishing scam and Jim’s account appears to have been compromised,” read a statement from Facebook as provided to venture industry news site PEHub.

4. Your real friends unknowingly make you vulnerable.
On May 6th, the popular social network patched a major security bug that allowed users to snoop on their friends’ private chats, and view their pending friend requests. The exploit forced Facebook to temporarily disable chat.

5. Scammers are creating fake profiles.

Earlier this week, 15 privacy and consumer protection organizations filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, alleging that the site manipulates privacy settings to make users’ personal information available for commercial use. (ANI)

After a long while I am back with a new post on dual boot loading with Windows 7 and Windows XP. Yesterday night my friend and me decided to play Need For Speed most wanted on LAN. I had a bad experience in gaming in Windows 7 environment. So I was needed to install XP on my system. Priory I was having Windows 7. I just did a newly partition for installing Xp on my system and got over with installation.

But I felt hammered and shocked as I was unable to see  boot loading option for Windows 7  because I had many works done in it.

Well, that time I was in a mood to play game and then look upon this problem.  After playing I googled many ways to reach the remedial post and found none efficient.  In breaks in found some informations and finally I experimented and had both OS in my boot loading option.

This is the way I did. :-

1) Had Windows 7 previosly installed.

2) Installed Windows XP on a new partition.

3) Restarted the system and only XP was booting.

4) Inserted Windows 7 dvd.

a) Choosed Installion language.

b) Moved to second screen with option “GOTO REPAIR COMPUTER”

c)Choosed Command Prompt and entered following commands.

bootrec/FixBoot (Press Enter and Restart)

d) Now you are on your lost Windows 7.

But folks, you have now loosed Windows XP. Dont be panic. You can recover that too with following continuing steps.

5) Download .NET FRAMEWORK 2.0 and EASYBSD .Framework is required to run EASYBSD.

6) Install and run EASYBSD.

NOTE:- This is required to repair the Windows XP boot file and add Windows 7 to the Windows Boot Manager list.

7) In EasyBCD, click on Add/Remove Entries (left side). (See screenshot below)

In the bottom right section under Add an Entry,

type: Windows NT/2k/XP/2k3.

Name: Windows XP

NOTE: You can type whatever name you would like to have displayed in the Windows Boot Manager for XP though.

9) Complete step 8 and click save.

10) In EasyBCD, click on Manage Bootloader (left side). (See screenshot below)

Note:- Let the option be on “Reinstall the Vista Bootloader” and Click on Write MBR and restart your system.

If every step is did in a fine way. you will be able to see Windows Boot Manager with both XP and 7 without a trouble.
